About the Paintables (Beam Paints)
Beam Paints is the result of a multi-generational love of pigment, paint, colour, and
innovation. Founded by an Anishnaabe kwe from M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin
Island, Beam Paints draws on Indigenous pigment knowledge passed down through
generations, including harvesting hematite pigment from the LaCloche mountain range.
Their paints are made using lightfast pigments, gum arabic, and Manitoulin maple sap,
